DATES OF NEW MOONS FOR YEARS 2009 - 2054

Below are the dates of the beginning of the dark new moons for Jerusalem, Israel location with the day starting at sunset instead of midnight in the civil Gregorian Calendar years. Date of new moon is first day of that month. Also included is the date of the symbolic wave sheaf offering (WSO) on Sunday during the seven Days of Unleavened Bread for those who are interested can count starting with that date and count 50 days to Pentecost, which will also be on a Sunday, (Lev. 23:15-16).

The dates which are followed with a + mark identify the dark new moons that occurred between sunset and midnight and were thus given the next days date because (UT) starts the day at midnight.  In Genesis, chapter 1, God started the day at evening or dusk, which starts at sunset. Pope Gregory declared that the Gregorian Calendar start the day at midnight.  At the International Meridian Conference which was held in October 1884 in Washington, D.C. in the United States, it was agreed upon to start the day at midnight instead of noon.  Therefore all calendar days and dates start at midnight and are recorded in Universal Time (UT) by the observatories at the Prime Meridian of the world; Greenwich, England.

In each of the Gregorian years above, the March date that is underlined is the first month, Abib 1, the beginning of months of the Lord's festival year, (Ex. 12:1-2). The Lords festival years begin when the dark new moon appoints Passover to occur on or after the date of the new solar year. The new solar year begins on March 16th or 17th, the date of the equinox when the sun and moon divided night and day with 12 hours of darkness and daylight at Jerusalem, Israel location; not at the man devised invisible equator.

If some of you think the Abib 1 dark new moon dates start the Lord's feasts one month early in some years, read the article titled WHEN DOES THE MONTH ABIB BEGIN?

From that underlined March date, count to the seventh new moon date which will be the first day of the seventh month, the Feast of Trumpets. Read the article titled WHERE AND HOW INFORMATION for instructions that tell how to calculate a feast calendar.  Also read the article titled FEAST CALENDAR INFORMATION under the heading YEARS for more instructions about when the solar year begins and other helpful information.  The above new moon dates will save a person many, many hours of time if they had to calculate each dark new moon date.
